Recap #3

Moving in blind will not always mean that you will get a roommate who you get along with. Just ask Meghan Forrest, Michigan State University sophomore, admits to not liking the way housing handles assigning roommates. The housing office, “does its best to pair incoming freshmen with other freshmen when possible. Outside of class standing, living-learning community and residential college placements are also considered, as well as environmental preferences, smoking and alcohol habits and whether a student prefers a quiet space,” said Ashley Chaney when asked to describe the process that does on when the housing office is deciding roommates for students. Students also have the option of RoomSync which is a facebook app that will math you with students who share the same interest as you.
